I just discovered this funny weekly post from the Westword’s The Latest Word: Shmuck of the Week. Quite entertaining, I recommend checking it out - weekly!
Street Sweepers!
May 16, 2008 · No Comments
If you are like me and park on a street in Denver, rather than a garage, chances are you have to move your car one random day a month for street sweepers. If this is you, check out this great site by MotorMaid - it lets you enter your email or phone and will email or text you reminders to move your car on the applicable day/time. I think that beats a street sweeping ticket.
Motormaid says of their site:
MyMotorMaid is brought to you by a small consortium of concerned citizens whom share an especially acute dislike of gratuitous and unneccessary vehicle parking regulation enforcement.
Our goal is simple and modest: Reduce the number of street sweeping/snow removal tickets given in the cities we serve by 15%. If you like this site, and it is helpful, please let us know!

Doors Open Denver follow-up
May 16, 2008 · No Comments
I posted recently about Doors Open Denver. Now that is has come and gone, if you are like me and couldn’t make it, you can still check it out at Denvergence, a vlog (video blog) on Denver. Here’s the video:
The walking tour from Charles R. Carpenter on Vimeo.
Video description for the Vlog: Its a brief wrap up of the day and features The Oxford Hotel, Larimer Square, The Equitable Building, and the art collection in the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.
Enjoy! (Thanks Charles, this is great.)
